Watermelon Tiger

This is a picture I came across on Pinterest. I thought it was amazing, so I wanted to share it.

Halibut with Mango Salsa

I have been feeling the cooking bug this week for some reason. I made a few unique dishes over the course of the week that might have been nice to post, but I have been too crunched for time to snap photos and make a blog entry. Today was a little different. I went to my parents’ house with the kids and realized they were both going to be working for the next several hours. This was the perfect opportunity to prepare dinner for them and to give my cooking fiend mom a night off.

Chicken Tikka Masala Dinner Party

This post has taken me a while to write, my sincere apologies. It has been a mixture of laziness and been overwhelmed in work and life in general. So, I have actually completed the challenge a few weeks ago, but only managed to get to the writing bit now…

Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan

I got a chance to make the chicken tikka masala recipe the other day for my family and so jumped on the opportunity. I made the dish with no changes from the challenge recipe as this was my first time making it. Saying “Thank You” with Cup Cakes

As I have mentioned in the challenge entry, I had made the cup cakes as gifts for my colleagues at work. The cup cakes were easy and quick to make and I made them a day in advance and kept them in the fridge.

Deep Fried Meringue: The Masterchef Quest

I still haven’t done the challenge, and here is why.

Clint’s Trip to Lebanon

Marhaba! Kifkun? Recently I took a two-week vacation to Lebanon and I can tell you this was the best thing I have ever done! The trip made good sense since fellow Taste-Bud (and good friend) Viviane is one of the Lebanese natives. I had the chance to have a Taste-Bud-guided trip to an exotic place where many foods saw their beginning and where history is everywhere, so I thought why not?

Bulgarian Cheese Stuffed Chicken Rolls

This was my lunch for today. I was home alone and I did not feel like eating plain chicken, so I got creative and came up with Bulgarian Cheese Stuffed Chicken Rolls. The recipe is still in “beta” version, but it was amazing. I still have a few ideas to improve it  and of course I still need to try them, but I will get there. It has been a while since I had such good chicken. It was great with a side of lettuce salad that fit the taste perfectly without overpowering it.
