This is my second Thanksgiving here! Already!
While last year all I did was eat and try new foods for the first time on Thanksgiving, this year I wanted to pitch in and prepare something.
A couple of weeks ago we bought a big bag of cranberries and they have been sitting in the fridge begging to be used.
First i would like to wish a late Happy Thanksgiving for our Buddy Clint and to all who celebrated; this year I had the chance to share the preparation for this holiday.
Arthur Murray Dance Studio is an American franchise in Dubai, and I have been practicing ballroom dancing there since almost 6 months. The manager is from United States and he invited us all for a Thanksgiving celebration on Wednesday 23rd November where every attendant will prepare one traditional dish.
I was experimenting with a few pumpkin pie recipes prior to Thanksgiving this year and managed to assemble a “best tasting” recipe as a result. The basis for it came from a Better Homes and Gardens recipe book I had in my kitchen, but I made a few slight modifications to it. This pie as is here came out absolutely delicious when I made it for Thanksgiving and so I thought it was a must to share it on the blog. Enjoy and happy holidays to everyone!

I thought I would share a little blurb about my Thanksgiving this year to give readers a feel for what the holiday entails for us in the states. As you can imagine, I was quite busy with organizing, traveling, and keeping the kids occupied as is normal this time of year. Despite all of the chaos that will ultimately ensue as with most family celebrations, I managed to find some peace in the cool autumn morning at my parents’ place before the feast.
